Dental Implants
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root surgically implanted into your jawbone. Implants are a common option for tooth replacement after tooth loss or extraction. They are used to support crowns, bridges or dentures. Implant placement requires sufficient bone for stability and longevity. If there is not enough bone after tooth extraction a bone graft may be recommended prior to implant placement.
Wisdom Teeth Removal
Wisdom tooth removal is a quick and relatively painless procedure. It involves the removal of one or more wisdom teeth, which are the four adult teeth located at the back corners of your mouth.
Surgical Teeth Extractions
The most common type of oral surgery is tooth extraction (removal). Extraction is recommended if there is severe tooth decay, gum disease, bone loss, dental trauma or wisdom teeth malposition or other complications. Tooth extractions are also performed in preparation for dentures or other prosthetic devices.
Bone Grafting
Bone grafting is a surgical procedure that aids in the formation of a solid bone base for dental implants. A dental bone graft adds volume and density to your jaw in areas where bone loss has occurred. After bone graft placement, it can take 6 months or longer before the implant can be placed. This waiting period is needed to allow your body to form new bone in the grafted area.
Oral Biopsy
An oral biopsy is preformed to remove lesions or abnormal tissue from the mouth. After the tissue is removed, the specimen is sent to a pathology lab for a definitive diagnosis.
Bond Brackets for Orthodontists
We work with the referring Orthodontists to begin management of positioning the tooth.
Impacted Canines
If you have too many teeth for your mouth, the dentist may recommend having some extracted. Surgery for impacted canines is a minor surgical procedure that can be done in the office.
Alveoloplasty
A surgical procedure known as an alveoloplasty can help to improve the appearance of your jawline following tooth loss.
Tori Removal
Tori are bony growths that can form on the upper or lower jawbone. They are most commonly found on the hard palate, at the back of the mouth.
Exposures / Bond Brackets for Ortho
This procedure, called an expose and bond, involves making an incision through the gums to expose the tooth, then bonding or gluing a bracket to the tooth.
Frenectomy
A frenectomy involves cutting or modifying the frenum which is soft tissue that connects parts of your mouth .Types of frenectomy include: Lingual frenectomy and Labial frenectomy.
